Austrian Precision

Founded in 1979, medium-sized company HELLMERICH Precision Components today employs just under 100 staff at its Seeboden site in Austria. HELLMERICH manufactures machining units, tool change systems, and driven tools for machine tools.

The company, which is based in the Kaernten region of Austria, also specializes in prototype-building, production of precision parts (turning, milling, and grinding) and unit assembly (spindles, gearboxes and fixtures).

Passionate about Reliability and Precision

Hellmerich technology is used primarily in the production lines of the automotive industry. As well as needing to achieve a high level of precision, the components also need to be durable enough to withstand the stresses of continuous serial production.

In order to ensure that these high quality standards are maintained, Hellmerich covers almost the entire value chain with state-of-the-art machinery within the company. HELLMERICH is certified to quality standard ISO 9001 and environmental management system standard ISO 14001.

Company gains new ISO 14001 certification

  • “HPC” Produktions GmbH is founded and continues with production, sales, and service of HELLMERICH machining units. The previous owner begins their well-deserved retirement.

  • ISO 9001 quality management system and certification introduced

  • New production facilities built in Seeboden; Hellmerich machine tools become a leading force in development and production of multi-spindle head technology on the global market.

  • The Brose Werkzeugmaschinen Group goes bankrupt. Harald Hellmerich, general manager of Brose, acquires the company as part of a management buy-out.

  • All kinds of machining units and equipment are designed and produced for the European machine tool industry. Brose Werkzeugmaschinen is ahead of its time – the CNC control technology being contemplated is still in its infancy and cannot achieve the cost-effectiveness required to make it a success in the major contracts received.

  • The entire Ernst Haaf Group is sold to the Brose Group in Coburg.

  • Ernst Haaf Microprecise is founded in Spittal by Munich businessman Ernst Haaf. The company specializes in multi-spindle heads and devices for transfer lines and special machines.
