Big Investment at HELLMERICH

Hellmerich, market leader in multi-spindle heads and precision component manufacturing for the machine tool industry announces the investment into newprecision machinery in its plant in Seeboden, Austria. An oversize 5-axes machining centre, weighing more than 33 tons caused traffic delays on German and Austrian highways as it was transported through Europe and installed this week.



Hellmerich is taking advantage of the strong economy in the automotive industry and invests into new technologies currently. This impressive C60 machining center delivered by one the leading German machine manufacturers Hermle in Gosheim, is the biggest of its kind in Austria. "Global competition requires us toacquire a leading position in products, processes and also manufacturing technology, the continuous increase of productivity and quality is decisive for our success ", explains Klaus Dirnberger, who has taken over the company beginning of 2010 and who has brought a lot of changes and dynamics ever since.

Besides the Hermle machine which will be used for drilling and milling of components with accuracies in the microns Hellermich has also acquired a new lathe and other precision machines for broaching its precision gears in the multi-spindle heads. This big investment secures and expands the number of employees and sets a stron innovation impulse in the region.



Successful return to the top
Hellmerich reports a very strong order book and can hardly carry our all the business that it is asked for in 2011. For 2012 reservations look very promising.Therefore, the company could recuperate successfully after leaving the insolvency status (Austrian Chapter 11) beginning of 2010.

Very positive industry outlook grants a high capacity utilization and a strong growth. Dirnberger: “We have reached the pre-crisis level in terms of staff and revenues in 2011. We are planning to expand our plant in Seeboden. The growth strategy has been underlined with the acquisition of patents to extend the product range.“
The investment into new and complec machining technology, state-of-the-art 3D design software as well as the introduction of new products challenge the company. To manage this change people are required. „by hiring highly qualified personnel for the manufacturing and design processes Hellmerich iscurrently expanding its staff of 60 people, Mr. Dirnberger says to the press on Thursday. Moreover, the investment into office and manufacturing infrastructureare planned to be realized this year also.
