Just in time for America's largest manufacturing technology show IMTS, the Austrian based company HELLMERICH introduces a new crown turret head. The world market leader in multi-spindle heads meets the demand for higher flexibility in manufacturing processes.
HELLMERICH is not reinventing the wheel, but builds upon an industry proven construction design. On Sept 9, 2010 HELLMERICH acquired exclusively patents of a crown turret head technology from AMB Produktionssystem GmbH, Stuttgart, Germany. The owners of AMB, Axel Binus and Fritz Hocke, are well know names in the German machine tool industry. Over the last decades, their patents were applied by industry players such as Ketterer Maschinenbau, which specialized in machine tools using crown turret heads. Hocke was the former construction designer and sales manager of Ketterer, which declared bankruptcy in June 2009. HELLMERICH acquired a well proven technology that has been applied hundredfold in the manufacturing industry.
“By expanding our broad product range of multi spindle heads, we are in line with our goal to offer more flexible spindle units which are known to be efficient, reliable and have an exceptional longevity”, says Karl Schusteritsch, HELLMERICH´s General Manager. “This new patent will allow us to combine proven crown turret head technology with the precision competence of HELLMERICH”.
HELLMERICH has been serving the North American market for decades and is premium supplier of multi-spindle heads to GM, Ford, Caterpillar, Mack Truck, American Axle and many more.
